The realmlist table entry should be the internal ip of the host machine, the loginREST.External entry in your bnetserver.conf should be your external ip, and the connecting client should be the internal ip of your host machine (same as the realmlist).

What would be the external IP?

The unique ip designated by your ISP. Google "What's my IP", it will come back with a few sites that will tell you your ip. Just don't give that one out, lol.

I don't see why that shouldn't work. Although on mine, I have it substituted with a no-ip domain, but it works in the same fashion. Also, the 8081 port should already be designated in it's own field up above. There should be no need to add it to your ip. No https:// either, lol.

That is correct. Again, unless you are using a domain. Then substitute with the domain.

I see in my firewall the client trying to connect to the bnet, but when I look at the client connections in my firewall on my gamer, it is trying to connect to, what looks like Blizzard's servers while my hosted server is also in the logs.

Is there a way to get the pvp scaling system to work? I was messing around with PVP.ItemLevelCap in the worldserver.config but it doen't do anything.
Stats won't scale in instanced areas, so all depends on gear which isn't right for 7.3.5.
Any help here?

just noticed in my server I am getting this: [WARNING] MySQL client/server version mismatch; may conflict with behaviour of prepared statements. Would that cause connection issues?
