7.3.5 LEGION WoW Repack - WoW Legion 7.3.5 Repack - Blizzlike & Fun

Hey guys,

Questions. I put the Data folder in the Release folder, is that where it's supposed to go?

The reason I ask is because MySQL starts just fine, bnetserver starts fine, but worldserver seems unable to launch, and closes/crashes when it gets to reading GameTable files.

Thoughts? Is anybody else having trouble starting the server?

I'm running the server from a Windows 10 virtualbox, new and built only to run this server. It is running on Intel with 2 cores dedicated to the VM, 8GB memory dedicated to the VM, and loads of SSD space.

I have openssl installed. The .dll's are copied into Release folder. VCRedists are installed.

I only have the three map folders inside the data folder, the rest is inside the release folder

The worldserver.conf comes pre-configured to point toward the release folder for data, rather than a data folder inside the release folder. If you have all of your data inside it's own folder, you must set the worldserver.conf to point to it. This is done by changing the 'data dir' setting from "." to "Data".

Dood, you are spot on. That's the fix. Thank you thank you thank you! Now reading GameTables and loading Objects.

Now to get the client working! Yessssss!

I find this weird, I can successfully ping the ports and IP address with my powershell, but my client will hang up at "logging into game server". Is there another patch I should apply? I know it is not a firewall issue as I pinged my server. The Addresses are assigned to that server and is applied where they should be in order to connect. What am I doing wrong here? NOTE: I am using EnUS.

Have you tried logging into the database via MySQL client and updating the realmlist table, address should be 127.0.0.1 if you are running the server on another PC/Server you need to update this value to the PC/Server IP address.

Yup, done that already.

I've also been stuck on 'logging in to game server'. Let it do that for about an hour just to see if it would let me in, it never did. Any fix?

Chicken and Coolman, have you opened port 1119 by chance? That is, it must be open if you are running your servers from a separate machine. Otherwise, the bnetserver will not communicate.

This is very weird, I have all the needed ports and IP addresses assigned, but when I look at my firewall, I watch the bnetsaerver incoming connects slowly drop out from my client connection until there is 1 left with a bandwidth usage between 2KB/s to 29KB/s continuously. Looking at the firewall realtime logs, it states I am connected. Would a converged network card cause this issue to happen? Also, my gamer computer is a workstation/server hardware, so could it be possible my gamer is doing something weird? My network switch is a converged Unix (OPNSense) switch without a firewall operating.

LAN is pretty basic stuff, so I have to assume that both your card and switch could handle it. Certainly your card could. However, if you don't have a firewall standing in your way, and all ports are open, I'd be more inclined to believe there's something we're missing in your card configuration. As for your gaming computer, I don't believe a workstation would have any issue running the client. If you can launch the client from it, that is, it's fair to assume it's sufficient enough to connect. Although, certain boards may present different issues. For instance, my supermicro has one ethernet port that provides internet connectivity, and the other one, just LAN.

What do I need to bind to my server Address-wise? This is different than what I worked with before. The Cataclysm and Lich King were dead-easy, but with a dedicated server, it seems like I cannot figure it out.
