This post is a follow-up of the first MoP dev-blog written here: https://www.emucoach.com/threads/mop-devblog-1-behind-the-scenes-emucoach-mop-repack.18933/
Update as of 22/09:
We are extremely close to be releasing MoP version 8 (beta). This is thanks to our amazing testing team, who has really been giving everything they can (you know who you are!).
Thanks to the team, we've basically went through every single zone in level 1-85, and are almost completed.
The process is that we have an internal Discord where we have been listing down every zone to keep track of bugs.
What now?
I realize I haven't been as active as I usually am on communication and support. And I am truly sorry. But I had to prioritize this development effort to ensure that v8 is coming out while we're still young =). I can reveal it has been hard effort and very long hours. On average, personally I've spent around 8-10 development hours a day, I think, since beginning of April when we begun this initiative.
What is the quality expected?
What we worked on for v8 have primarily been the open-world. This means roleplay, emotes, spawns, waypoints, quest-scripting, creature behavior and everything in the open world. We have used blizzlike sniffs to obtain proper spawn and scripting data and have had very high standards to obtain a proper blizzlike behavior.
We have refactored scripting for all zones between level 1-85. They are all expected to work on average between 97-99% on blizzlike quality. Yep, you read right.
We also scripted Wandering Isle and have marked it as 99%. In the following Mop versions (8.1 etc), rest of the Pandaria zones along with dungeons/raids will be touched.
Thank you to everyone who's supporting EmuCoach and help make this project possible.
Best Regards,
ExO
