as far as server settings go
auth db-realmlist, address-public IP, localaddress-internal IP of the hosting computer
bnetserver.conf-fill LoginREST.ExternalAddress and LoginREST.LocalAddress respectively, matching the IPs from the db
the client-those playing on the same network as you put as portal the local address, those who are on another network put the external IP or the DNS

ok so the ports included with the REST,bnet and worldserver are the ones that need to be forwarded? im used to the old repacks only needing 2 ports. and do you know if the portal is just the ip or ip : port

1119, 8081, 8085, 8086 are default ones
1119 is the default bnetserver port, if you change it then you need to put it as ip: port,

asking around a couple different platforms, im being told i need HTTPS certificate to allow external connections. do you know about anything like that?

it's true, Fabian's launcher requires a SSL certificate, and you can't turn this off, questions and support for the launcher - ask him on the Arctium discord
another part I had forgotten about the launcher and you reminded me of (again)

and as far as getting a certificate for TC goes-I don't know-I haven't done it, cuz Firestorm's Legion and DF wow.exe(s) work without Fabian's launcher and don't require certificate to connect

waiting for Firestorm to update to 11.2.7 to have a cdn and a full client download option, an .exe working without the launcher but it's not guaranteed as their wod and sl .exes only validate connections to the firestorm server; legion, bfa, df work
