yea my folder was set to read-only for some reason and i aslo set the launcher to run as admin and it stopped the process hang-up

aah, yes the arctium launcher run as admin and it hangs the game ,I've completely forgotten it does that-need to add it to the guide

as far as server settings go
auth db-realmlist, address-public IP, localaddress-internal IP of the hosting computer
bnetserver.conf-fill LoginREST.ExternalAddress and LoginREST.LocalAddress respectively, matching the IPs from the db
the client-those playing on the same network as you put as portal the local address, those who are on another network put the external IP or the DNS

ok so the ports included with the REST,bnet and worldserver are the ones that need to be forwarded? im used to the old repacks only needing 2 ports. and do you know if the portal is just the ip or ip : port

1119, 8081, 8085, 8086 are default ones
1119 is the default bnetserver port, if you change it then you need to put it as ip: port,
