French client for Mist of Pandaria

Hi, I've been away since 2019 and I finally came back to setup a brand new server. The things is, I got two friends that only plays in french. I remember by the time, the server would download automatically the French language files (for Cata). I've tried the same thing by changing the region in the config.wtf (changed en_US to fr_FR) but it download like 3 or 4 files than an error popup saying to check the connection (but it's a link for Blizzard Website. Is there a way to get the a French client for MOP... and Btw, does the old way to download the files still works for CATA? Best Regards

You can download the Shadoria or Firestorm clients. They have French in their data. Tell them to save the fr-FR folder. The more time passes, the harder it will be to find the game in their language.

Actually, this is exactly what I've done yesterday after writing this post. But I came into another problem... The client is in French, it connect perfectly to my MOP server. All the menu are in French, the spells, the ability, bars, etc... But the game is only in English, audio dialog are in french but not the text, quest, etc... If I recall it right, when I had my CATA server, the 8.1 version from here (Emucoach), it only required a French client and my players were able to play almost perfectly in this language.

Is it possible that the MOP Gold repack database don't have another language beside of English?

It must be a problem with the database, but I'm not sure. Try with a full client. Don't just move the fr folder.
