Feedback & Suggestions for the Premium Gold VIP (Cataclysm) and Premium MoP Repacks​

First of all, I'd like to say that I'm very happy with both repacks overall. I purchased the Cataclysm Gold VIP first and later the Premium MoP Repack.

The setup through the EmuCoach app was excellent. Downloading, installing, and starting the server worked without any issues on both repacks. This is something that really sets EmuCoach apart from many other repacks, where simply getting everything running can already become a challenge.

Documentation and Custom Settings​

My biggest point of feedback is the documentation of the many custom settings.

Many of the advertised VIP features, custom scripts, and additional systems have to be enabled manually in the worldserver.conf file. Unfortunately, many of these settings are either poorly documented or not explained at all. At first, I assumed that some of the advertised VIP features could be found in the VIP forum because that's how it seemed to be described. Later I discovered that they simply needed to be enabled in the configuration file.

I think it would greatly improve the user experience if:

• Every custom setting included a clear description.
• Default values were documented.
• Each option explained exactly what it does.
• Even better, these settings could be enabled or disabled directly from the EmuCoach app with short explanations or tooltips.

Forum Organization​

The forum contains a lot of useful information, but it has become difficult to find content that is still relevant.

Many threads are:

• outdated,
• contain dead download links,
• or refer to older repack versions that are no longer supported.

It would be very helpful if outdated threads were moved into an archive or clearly marked as obsolete.

FAQ and Version Comparison​

A central FAQ would be extremely useful, especially for new customers.

For example:

• What exactly is the difference between the Standard, Premium, and Gold VIP versions?
• Which features are exclusive to each version?
• Which custom systems are already included?
• What happens when the VIP license expires?
• Which features remain available and which ones are disabled?

Currently, this information is scattered across different forum posts, making it difficult to get a clear overview before purchasing.

Easier Feature Configuration​

A good example is the Auction House Bot.

In the Cataclysm Gold VIP repack it is enabled by default, while in the MoP repack it requires manual setup. This involves SQL knowledge, creating accounts, configuring IDs and GUIDs, and following several additional steps.

Eventually I got it working, but only after spending quite a bit of time searching through tutorials and forum posts.

It would be great if features like this could simply be enabled or disabled with a single switch, or at least if there were an official step-by-step guide.

NPC Bots​

Another issue I encountered concerns the NPC Bots.

Using what appears to be the same configuration, the bots spawn correctly throughout the open world in the MoP repack. However, I have not been able to get them to spawn properly in the Cataclysm Gold VIP repack.

If this is intended behavior or requires additional configuration, better documentation would certainly help.

Client Download Links​

I also noticed that there is (or was) an official client tool available from EmuCoach. Unfortunately, the download link in the forum is no longer working.

Only after searching through Discord and reading several discussions did I discover that a new version is currently being developed.

It would be helpful if the original forum thread was updated with this information instead of leaving a dead download link.

Finding WoW Clients​

Another challenge is finding complete WoW clients.

Finding a clean, full client in different languages has become surprisingly difficult. For new users especially, an up-to-date list of recommended client downloads or installation options would save a lot of time and frustration.

Overall Impression​

Despite the points mentioned above, I'm genuinely very satisfied with both repacks.

The stability, easy installation process, and the large number of custom features clearly make EmuCoach stand out from many other repacks.

Most of my suggestions are aimed at improving the experience for both new and existing users. Better documentation, an up-to-date FAQ, cleaner forum organization, and the ability to configure more features directly through the EmuCoach app would make these already excellent repacks even better.
