So i do not know how too code or anything, it take me 8 days too create the server bianaries for cmangos from source lol,
so all i have is hardware, i cannot code
BUT i found someone last night on warmane onyxia who has experiance working on private servers? and can code?
so we partnered up
and i have gone crazy on hardware today,
I have 2 zen 2 dedi's atm each with 64gb ram, one has ecc for our database, both with quad nvme ssd's in raid 10, 1gbps upload, unlimited bandwith
i just purchased a 8 core vds, 32gb ram, 240gb ssd local disk, 30tb bandwith, 1gbps up. 1 primary ipv4 and i purchased 4 more ipv4's.
and i applied for a 7950x3d dedi with 256gb ddr5 ecc and quad 1tb nvme ssd's, 1gbps up / unlimited bandwith.
so my plan is
rock azerothcore using wotlk client but run all 3 vanilla / tbc / wotlk realms, use wotlk client too log into all 3, developer i partner with tell me it is easily possible.
We will run auth for all 3 realms on zen 2 dedi with no ecc
databases for all 3 realms on zen 2 dedi with ecc
world for all 3 realms on dedi with 7950x3d with script too dedicate certain cpu threads too certain world servers 2 keep things clean(i made a script like this for my cmangos server that dedicates certain cpu threads too world / auth so i know its possible)
run a watchdog script in the background so that if any world servers crash they get rebooted asap.
I promised my partner that he would never see any hosting fees, this is the difference between my servers and others, this is not for profit.
if anyone reading this post thinks that they can contribute please contact me, but my server will be the only server with no store and no donation button, we will keep it blizzlike just like it was in 2007 TBC
