For the first statement - why can it not? A person with harmful intentions can do it in either, it does not matter as it's an .exe file that one allows to execute. Not trying to nitty pick on the topic, but just want to mention that it from security PoV is no different :)

I get the concern, and I did consider that too, but at the same time: if you allow yourself to open the .exe file (Worldserver.exe), then what difference does it make with the App? The App/Program will simply be another .exe file
