    Most/All events will be enabled on V8.0 :) World pvp will be improved in some ways but the real functionality will be in 8.1 or 8.2, otherwise the scope of 8.0 will become too big. Isle of Conquest and Strand of the Ancients will be enabled in 8.0 though.

    I think the best is to simply disable the dungeons/raids etc via the ` disables`` table in the database, although it's a bit manual effort.
