You need to update the worldserver.conf and set the data folder to ./Data. I also made a few other changes that you might need to do, I cannot remember entirely.

This is as Vague as the discord where this is released at. The Youtube video, that is out of date, starts off with no direction on file names. When you go to that discord channel there are multiple clients to DL with minimal information on the purpose of each, be they updates, tweaks, additions,etc. And of course, no one answered the tyoutube post or the ddiscord enquiry a few weeks back when I tried to get a handle on this. Everyone wants to point you to some other video to watch, which will have some solid data and then a pile of generalized data that wil lapply to X but not Z

Is there a place where there is a step by step on how to install this, starting with the client launcher? I mean "Start the game with this" which is 3 files, with 3 different names, with 1 bring a minimal client ,which is not mentioned above....so MAYBE you can see where there is a disconnect for someone new when the biggest issue seems ot be familiarity breeding assumption, leading to confusion for those also not familiar.

The main reason I have not purchased any of the premium packs this page offers is there is no clear cut information, only vaguery, which seems to plague emulated clients, leadign to hundreds of questions, frustration, and people just...leaving and not even bothering.

TMI is not a bad thing No, I am not asking about the world server. I tried setting this up 3 weeks back and it was a failure, but I would like to. I would like detailed, hand-holding like you WANT me to donate money...not "Figure it out" because that was the gist of the discord replies.

I was posting to you. I did not infer there was a cost. I stated the REASON I have not paid for the EMU coaches' services was that there is no indication of the level of direction involved to aid people. While your project HAD a video that was up-to-date at one point, it is not now. This was in reference to the vagueness in nearly all of the emulation posts and videos. I did post I had been to your discord...and youtube video. I tried to get a handle on this as it is all new , back a few weeks ago, and the video is outdated and the discord advice distilled down to figure it out.....I then referenced EMU COACHES premium packs and my concerns over kicking over money for more "Figure it out"... I hope this is more SUCCINT and makes more sense to you.

I support projects that I am interested in, that was my point of remark. If you do not accept donations, ignore the monetary remark. The point was ...pointless I am going to assume Good luck with the project. I'll step out of the thread.

I think I need to make those changes too because even though I changed it in ./Data it still doesn't start

Did you download the latest version of the launcher and put it in the retail folder (or the client you downloaded)?

However, for problems with the launcher I recommend the official Arctium Community discord, they have a support chat where they are very helpful

I will ask my questions here and see if I can get mustard.

I DLed the client link from above, that contains Arctium. The folder, once unpacked, has the 12 client, Arctium launcher, and what "Appears" to be a preconfigured portal path of 127.0.1 (Which I assume is my desktop)

How do I start the world, itself, for the client to connect to, or is that another download?
What is NXT? Is it the worldserver? I have DL'ed and extracted it and do not wish to poke around without knowing

I was under the assumption you needed a game core and a client. You then needed to run the game world, world server, I assume, then add in an account login to login with the client.

I get that the above release implies that people know what they are already doing and if these questions are as redundant as I assume they are, then maybe point me to a video that does not take guesswork to view. I was pointed at this video,

, which I assumed was related to your release, but now I am seeing that I may have been mistaken. That video starts off saying grab X and then it's discord link has no URL with that path, but several with updated paths and no description...which, as a person who provides direct and succinct directions, causes me to spiral

SO, if anyone does not wish to give direction, but could point me to either video or text content to read to get a grasp on emulation installation, specificly for this repack, please, leet me know and thanks for your time

Well, due to the...lack of interaction, I have gone and asked an LLM. While he has not responded to his reason for removing the download link, those who did snatch it, it is pretty easy as the files/folders are present as well as the game launcher. I changed the port number in the UniformServer launcher, in the bnet conf, and worldserv conf. When setting an account it declared I use the @ symbol for a user name
Launched client, server found, character made.

Oh, sidenote, while I did have minor issues, related to things I either did or did nto do, I was able to bypass an issue by creating an arctium shortcut , setting the target specifics World of Warcraft\Arctium Game Launcher.exe" --path "_retail_" and then running as administrator. I am unsure wehat was causing the game to timeout prior to making the target change, but that resolved it, so sharing that as well and maybe, at some point, someone will point out the common sense reason as to where I made a mistake

I would rather LEARN than simply be directed. I assume others are similar and that does result in a LOT of questions and may be why people avoid helping
