# LegionMind Repack — Changelog
## 014 — 2026-09-11
Server built from the `violethold-restore` branch (81 commits since release 013). Database snapshot taken on
2026-09-11. Every item below was exercised on the development server before the package was assembled; the
Mage Tower beast-mastery challenge was played through and won by a person, the other two challenges and the
Emerald Nightmare bosses were cleared by our bot harness only.
### Mage Tower — new
- **War Councilor Victoria** at Deliverance Point (Broken Shore) opens the challenge of your specialization at
four tiers: **Standard** (as in 7.2), **Heroic** (enemies +40%, Raging), **Mythic** (+80%, Raging and
Grievous) and **Legendary** (+130%, Raging, Grievous and Bolstering). Standard unlocks the artifact's
challenge appearance; each higher tier adds the next tint, a piece of item level 940/960/975 gear and Battle
Coins. Rewards are granted on the first win of each tier; later runs of a tier you already cleared are
practice runs.
- **Feltotem's Fall** (Beast Mastery Hunter, Windwalker Monk, Discipline Priest, Destruction Warlock): Tugar
Bloodtotem and Jormog the Behemoth rebuilt from the retail guides. Fel Burst (interrupt it), Fel Shock,
Earthquake with fel spikes erupting under your feet, boulders and Bile Spitter eggs; Fel Surge Totem (1 hit
point, five seconds); Jormog's nine Fel Hardened Scales, three charges per earthquake that stop at the first
boulder in their path (the boulder shatters, one scale is lost, Jormog is stunned), Sonic Scream, acid pools;
phase two with Jormog enraged. The pace scales with the tier (earthquake every 60/45/35/30 s, charge warning
6/5/4/3 s, Fel Burst every 22/18/15/15 s).
- **Thwarting the Twins** (Marksmanship Hunter, Balance Druid, Frost Mage, Shadow Priest, Affliction Warlock):
Karam Magespear and Raest with Rising Dragon, Unrelenting, Purgatory, Shadow Bolt Volley, Hand from Beyond,
Rune of Summoning and the Thing of Nightmare. Boss positions taken from retail spawn data.
- **Closing the Eye** (Survival Hunter, Frost Death Knight, Havoc Demon Hunter, Subtlety Rogue, Arms Warrior):
Archmage Xylem's frost phase, the intermission (Arcane Annihilation, mirror images), the arcane phase and the
Corrupting Shadow finale.
- Encounter rules shared by the three: bosses wait for your first blow; crowd control blocks boss casts;
interrupts land on every boss; dying fails the run and resets it (Release Spirit works, you revive at the
arena door); the instance re-arms when you come back after a win or a wipe; the scenario tracker advances;
Victoria offers the challenge quest.
- The tank challenge, the healer challenge, An Impossible Foe and The God-Queen's Fury are not built yet.
Victoria tells those specializations which challenge is theirs.
### The Emerald Nightmare — all seven bosses
- Nythendra, Il'gynoth, Elerethe Renferal, Ursoc, Dragons of Nightmare, Cenarius and Xavius are scripted,
with the instance script, loot from the encounter journal and encounter credit. Each boss was cleared by a
ten-bot raid in our harness.
- Dreamway hub: Malfurion and the Dreamway vines offer the wings; a portal back to the Dreamway appears next
to every dead boss.
- Fixes found in the harness: Nythendra rewritten; Il'gynoth's Eye no longer sits at 99% damage reduction and
the heart is selectable; the Dragons share health by percentage; Cenarius and his helpers were level 1;
the Xavius pre-event evaded when it should have started; the Nightmare Drakes fly; hostile invisible
triggers no longer hit players.
### Fated raids, Battle Coins and Remix
- **Fated**: The Emerald Nightmare, Trial of Valor, The Nighthold and Tomb of Sargeras drop loot at Antorus
item levels (LFR 915, Normal 930, Heroic 945, Mythic 960), permanently or one raid per week
(`Raid.Fated.*`). A chat notice on entering and at every boss.
- **Battle Coins** are earned by playing: raid bosses, dungeon bosses, dungeon completion, world quests
(`Bronze.*`).
- Raid lockouts reset on a timer (in hours) even for raids without a client reset schedule. A lockout write
bug (the difficulty was stored as a character) is fixed.
- **Remix**: flying and world quests available from the start; the Class Hall campaign is reachable from
inside the hall (606 campaign tasks in the ledger); campaign quests restricted to the class they belong to.
- **Legendary upgrade**: Awoken Titan Essence (item 154879) takes any Legion legendary to item level 1000.
The spell effect was unimplemented and, once implemented, its item target was never delivered; both fixed.
- Emissary caches open with retail-style rewards (item level 880 gear, gold, Order Resources, Curious Coin,
Blood of Sargeras).
- Class Hall: followers can be deactivated and reactivated (250 Order Resources); Concordance of the Legionfall
uses the trait's value; the campaign ledger no longer crashes with more than 32 entries.
- Artifact appearances: Eaglewatch's first tint (Forged for Battle) unlocks after A Glorious Campaign; when
the server cannot evaluate an appearance condition, the client's unlock decision is trusted
(`Artifact.TrustClientUnlock`).
### Auction house
- Four neutral auctioneers in Dalaran (Broken Isles), three next to the central teleport point and one at
the retail auctioneer spot. One auction house serves both factions, with the faction rates (5%), not the
goblin rates.
- Auction bot: Legion consumables, gems and trade goods are always in the seller pool even though they are
crafted (`AuctionHouseBot.Items.LegionEssentials`); older versions of those three classes are left out;
the class weights favour consumables, gems and trade goods.
### Deliverance Point
- The Order Hall contingents that retail shows per class through phasing were all visible at once: 533
creatures (named champions, standards, mounts, demons, elementals, portals) no longer crowd the Mage Tower
plaza. Guards, workers, prisons and every NPC with a function stay. One of each removed creature stands
on GM Island for reference; the full backup is in the `zz_backup_deliverance_0909` tables.
### PlayerBots
- Raids: the master's party turns into a raid past five bots; two tanks no longer trade taunts on the same
boss; the invisible-trigger rule is refined so raid adds are attacked.
- `.bot bis <name> [item level] [tank|heal|dps]` mails an online character the best piece per slot for its
class at the requested item level, with socket, gem and enchants, plus Legion consumables.
### Distribution
- New configuration keys: `MageTower.*`, `Raid.Fated.*`, `Bronze.*`, `AllowTwoSide.Interaction.Auction = 1`,
`AuctionHouseBot.Items.LegionEssentials`, `Artifact.TrustClientUnlock`.
- The database snapshot carries the new spawns, area triggers and quest data. Mage Tower boss health and
rewards are in `worldserver.conf` under `MageTower.*`.
## 013 — 2026-09-05
Server built from the `violethold-restore` branch (71 commits since release 012). Database snapshot taken on
2026-09-05. Every item below was tested on the development server before the package was assembled;
the items marked *awaiting field test* worked in our harness but have not yet been played through by a person.
### Legion dungeons — all ten now have scripted bosses
- **Neltharion's Lair**: Rokmora, Ularogg Cragshaper, Naraxas and Dargrul run their real encounters
(25 helper creatures, 6 area triggers, 11 spell scripts). Ularogg's leap used his X coordinate as jump height; fixed.
- **Court of Stars**: Patrol Captain Gerdo, Talixae Flamewreath and Advisor Melandrus scripted, the spy
mini-game included. Advisor Melandrus was not even spawned; he is now.
- **Vault of the Wardens**: Tirathon Saltheril, Inquisitor Tormentorum, Glazer, Ash'Golm and Cordana
Felsong scripted (9 helpers, 11 spell scripts, the shadow-pool area trigger). Doors and cages are declared
but not yet spawned in the world.
- **Seat of the Triumvirate**: Zuraal the Ascended, Saprish, Viceroy Nezhar and L'ura scripted
(32 helpers, 6 spell scripts). Two creature ids in our own header pointed at the wrong Nezhar and L'ura; fixed.
- **Vault of the Wardens and Neltharion's Lair** give encounter credit again; 14 encounters registered.
- **Cathedral of Eternal Night** can be completed; Arcway, Cathedral and Return to Karazhan boss scripts
are bound to their creatures.
- **Darkheart Thicket**: Shade of Xavius pass from the dungeon-forge batch.
### Assault on Violet Hold — rebuilt against the full encounter specification
- Twenty-two scripts (10 spell, 12 creature) had been compiled for days with nothing pointing at them; all bound.
- The event follows the real structure: five portals, a prisoner, five portals, a prisoner, four portals,
Lord Malgath, then the commander. Prisoners and commander are drawn at the start, so the squads change
with the commander (Sael'orn's spiders, Betrug's wrathguards).
- Portals close on their own terms (keeper dies or two minutes; elite squad dies or ninety seconds).
A wipe on trash no longer resets the run; only the prison seal reaching zero ends it.
- The dungeon was mute: Lieutenant Sinclari announces keepers, guardians and squads and warns as the seal
weakens (75%, 50%, 10%). Wave and seal counters use the real client world states.
- The door starts open and closes when the event begins. The fallen guards stay on the floor; four live
guards in fighting stance leave when the event starts.
- Freed bosses walk to the centre of the arena (Millificent excepted, she has her own entrance).
- Boss fixes: Shivermaw fired every ability at once (missing break); Millificent could be killed before her
scripted escape, her rage came at the wrong health, and — new in this release — her escape froze the whole
dungeon because leaving combat made her evade and reset; Sael'orn summoned one phase spider for the whole
fight and detonated half a second after pulling everyone in; Anub'esset impaled the tank on top of him;
Fel Lord Betrug's Mighty Smash threw players off the map (wrong jump overload); Festerface's goo was
friendly and his Congealing Vomit script crashed the server on a missing spell effect.
- Six trash types entered combat with no abilities at all; they have them now. Three spells the scripts cast
did not exist in the client and were replaced by the real ids.
- The Felstalker Ravener and Felguard Destroyer came out of portals lying down and crawling: both carried
the permanent feign-death aura in their template. Removed.
- Room cleanup: 72 static event spawns (13 stacked Lord Malgaths among them), 16 invisible stalkers drawn as
burning rock constructs, 8 Wrath-era target dummies drawn as cows, two intro portals that filled the room
before the event. The portal has a real portal model now, at a third of the original size.
### Violet Hold keystone mode (Mythic+)
- The map is registered in MapChallengeMode by hotfix; the keystone shows the dungeon's name.
- A scenario is created for the map so the Blizzard tracker draws the timer, Enemy Forces and a generic
**Bosses 0/4** counter (the bosses are drawn at random, so a fixed list was impossible).
- Base time 15 minutes (12 and 9 for two and three chests).
- Inserting the key at the Font of Power (Heroic and above) closes the door and starts the event; the player
is warned that losing the seal loses the run. Kill-driven pacing: a fast group opens portals fast.
- Seal destroyed = run failed, keystone broken, panel cleared. A wipe does not end the run.
- Challenger's Might now applies to every creature: the instance never called the core creature hook, so
only creatures present at the start were scaled. Squads grow with the keystone level.
- Bolstering stacks (the aura had no stacking data in the client; fixed by hotfix). Solocraft is disabled
during a keystone run so the player is not scaled up while the enemies are.
- The timer stops when the run ends: the stop packet did not exist in the core and, once written, was
registered on the wrong connection. Fixed on both counts. *Awaiting field test.*
### Mythic+ core
- Completing a run never cleared the "run in progress" flag (endless dungeon). Fixed.
- The completion panel said the keystone did not level up: the duration was sent in seconds instead of
milliseconds and the level field carried the already-incremented level. Fixed.
- New failure path (`FailChallengeMode`) — the core only knew how to complete.
### Maw of Souls
- Helya escapes at 10% instead of dying (credit, loot chest and encounter completion without a corpse),
keeps facing the group, and her seventeen items drop from the chest on every difficulty.
- The hold door opens with Ymiron. Taint of the Sea leaves Tainted Essence on the player when it fades.
- Dungeon-forge batch: Ymiron (four passes), Harbaron, Helya (three passes), trash SmartAI spells that were
missing on two creature types.
### PlayerBots
- Server crash when two bots shared a game account (the world deleted the previous session). One bot per account, enforced.
- Server crash while a bot re-geared with a full bag (the bag cleanup destroyed gear created in the same pass).
- Server crash on spawn or spec change (AutoUnequip used an item after the mail system deleted it).
- Warlock bots summon their demon; the summoning loop that made bots spin in place is gone (cast-loop law
applied to the whole rotation: every cast that can fail sets its cooldown on failure too).
- Melee bots stop inside melee range instead of just outside it, and stick to the target.
- Rescue teleport no longer pulls bots out of a fight; the anti-fall net only fires on real falls.
- Target choice: sight or path, nearest first; the healer receives the group's resolved target.
- Bots never replace the artifact they are wearing; warrior artifacts finally equip; the artifact already in
the bag is worn instead of failing as "no space".
- Full bags left bots half-dressed; space is freed before the set is generated.
- Rotation data: Shadowform, Moonkin Form, Blade Flurry toggle guard.
- Gear stat filter: a bot refuses a piece whose fixed primary stat is wrong for its class and role.
### Movement
- The wrong jump overload that threw players off the map in Violet Hold was found in eight more places
(Cathedral of Eternal Night x4, Undercity, Lost City of the Tol'vir x2, Throne of the Four Winds). The
compiler had been warning about every one of them. All fixed.
### Loot
- Random enchant on loot verified end to end (upgrade 40%, tertiary 25%, socket 15%; every bonus id resolves).
### Distribution
- The OpenSSL legacy provider (`ossl-modules\legacy.dll`) is bundled and the world server batch points to it;
without it the server crashes on character creation on machines without OpenSSL installed.
- The rankings signing key is not shipped; the server generates one on first start.
- Portable MySQL slimmed (development headers and libraries removed), bound to 127.0.0.1.
- All documentation and batch messages in English (US).
## 012 — 2026-08-28
