I've only seen a playerbot module for WOTLK and a pseudo playerbot mod for Vanilla

There are normal bots for Vanilla. Which can communicate in the world chat, gather a party, go through dungeons, register for BG and arena. And it would be great if someone could implement all this for Legion.

I've heard a guy with a french server named Aquayoup used some kind of bots with WoD so I guess it could be done.

Sadly no, if only there were, vanilla, tbc, wotlk ssp and azeroth core and apparently the vip mop repack are the only repacks in the world with bots
