I have a 'Remember Me' function when I log-in, is that what you mean? It works the same in terms of functionality and will store a cookie on your PC with your username and session details. If it doesn't work, you might have cookies disabled on your browser as a security precaution, or an anti-virus might be automatically deleting them.
