[I created this over time. My previous was a old dual core duo with 8 Gb DDR unbuffered RAM that died harshly & I lost everything BLEH!]

[The Frankenstien] Dell T5500 Workstation/Server/Gaming/Pirate rig produced 2015-2017 by me? :p

[NOTE] I am not a Dell, or GeForce lover. AMD's are built far more durable "with the exception of these workstations, built for businesses with better parts!" But a similar AMD built rig, would rape my wallet! :p

Dell T5500 Workstation (bought off ebay for 120 with paypal credit) with no hard drives, or ram, or optical drives, but both processors & 2nd processor/RAM riser) & fans. [no warrenty, but gauranteed not DOA]

Dual quad core Xeon processors [competative to the first "almost 2nd" generation i7's easily] I can upgrade this to dual 6 core & maybe even 8 core, but lack the funds at present.

72 GB triple channel DDR3 RAM "with heat shields" (for workstations) bought off clearance from a shop that was closing down near me. (They wanted 1 dollar a stick. I had 59.78 to my name. They accepted my offer!) [Can use higher speed single channel like i7's, but why? The RAM already outdoes the processors]? lol
Besides... I am far from well off & it isn't needed?

GeForce "unbranded" GTX 750 Ti FTW "dual fan" Edition video card [built in 3d HDMI sound] (works flawlessly with my Sony TV build in simulated surround sound) - Newegg clearance sellout - cheap 38 dollars brown box - 30 day warrenty

Stock power supply [workstations are built beefy as h_ll!] ;)

3 internal HD [2 of them stock mounted, 1 made a custom mount to fit it under power supply] 1 for O/S & needed programs "not servers, or games".

1 for games in use + storage related (configured through a command window) to make windows 7 think it is part of C drive (prevents the problem often had of installing games on a different hard drive), to install games, and server clients I use to play games, etc.

1 external air cooled Sabrent case [36 dollars] "set up to act the same as internal" [special plug that comes on workstations] (similar to internal data plugs + independant power supply) "it runs same speed as internals." for all server related, used actively/randomly servers & downloads. . (ran out of room in the case... lol) all are 2 TB 120mb cache 7200 rpm Hard drives. Toshiba & Hitachi mix. "bought whichever was cheapest, over time".

1 Pioneer Bluray burner with built in 64 mb catch & "anti noise/vibration technology" for longer life. [brown box 30 day warrenty remanufactured] 32 dollars "with plugs & disc"

1 of generic brand DVD burner that will burner anything almost. (china knockoff of a better burner) 15 about + 8 week wait... lol

1 antique IDE HP external burner [in original box with all papers & a floppy driver disc? o_O] "was hell to get working on windows 7.... lol" needed "to burn PSX games at 1-2x speed to ensure data burned well" [the disc needed to ensure perfect burns cost about 50 cents each? taiyo yuden disc - Japan] ebay 12 dollars

1 antique IDE external 360 Gb hard drive to store backups of server files. (after losing EVERYTHING 2 times!) [free, from a buddy]

1 "read anything" multi-media card reader [installed in the unused floppy bay] traded a lawn mower I built for it.

1 el cheapo S-L-O-W as h_ll generic 2 Tb external hard drive to back up my chronic data obsession of junk programs. ggauranteed not DOA "used/as is" ebay 5+ years ago - still going! 15 + 5 shipping dollars.

1 Orico external hard drive case with a 2 Tb 2nd hand generic brand 64 Mb cache HD for storing large pirate bay, etc games/programs. "about 55 in both".

a 40 inch Sony HDMI 1920x1080 resolution. "no frame lag like many TV's" TV bought off Fingerhut on credit. [I am blind as h_ll, and poor!] I needed a TV for a for a monitor! :p lol

Logitech Solar charged "even a light bulb" K750 wireless keyboard. "18.00 dollars used off ebay" [runs weeks without a charge]

1 super old "but works like a dream" wireless mouse "in chinese, dunno brand" [no longer buyable] looks similar to a expensive razor mouse & runs a zillion years off 1 AAA battery "6 dollars"

Windows 7 Black 37 "customized FREE windows 7 64 bit O/S" pulled off TPB!

Side case removed & 1 genuine Wal Mart, "China's finest 14 dollar fan" and 24 dollar shop vac/leaf blower ensures NOTHING GETS DIRTY OR HOT!

This is my mess. All built over time with very limited funds! I fondly reffer to it as Frankenstien, but it does what I need it to! lol :D

I'm a disabled veteran and when I got my settlement check for a 6 year back-dated appeal I went a little nuts. I have an Alienware Area-51 Threadripper R6 with a Threadripper 1950x, 64GB HyperX RAM and an RTX 2080ti. That machine is my server. For games I have an Alienware m15r1 with an i7-9750h, 32gb ram, 2tb of nvme ssd storage a discrete rtx 2060 and an rtx 2080 desktop card in an external graphics enclosure.

I see no reason to upgrade my base system yet, might get a new video card next release, rtx cards just didn’t impress me much. Nothing from AMD or Intel as of yet comes close to outperforming my rig. I’ve seen some benchmarks and I’m always ahead in terms of cpu power until just recently and it’s only like 5% gains. I’m waiting for nvidia to release a rtx 3080ti or something. The 2080 series just didn’t impress me. Why the 1060 6gb? Couple reasons, my 1080ti died. It’s a 1070 in disguise. Nvidia forgot to lock the gpu in hardware. Flash the card and it’s a 1070. I wouldn’t recommend it to a newbie though as you risk bricking later cards. Not to mention a 1660ti is cheap enough and outperforms it. I’m just not dumping money for such small gains. I’m very happy with my speeds with everything. It lets me host wow private server, Minecraft server.jar, etc. allows me to play, edit videos, lets my wife edit her cartoons etc.

Second pc, for when my wife is using my main pc.
Dell something 3300

Dusted off my old ASUS ROG laptop,
Cant remember the detailed specs, but Core i7 with GTX 970M - Just using to sow my Kids that PC's can be as much fun as consoles

Quickly built them AM3+ phenom II x 4, 16GB RAM PCs for them each with left over computer parts and stuff from ebay - most costly bit was the GTX 7900 and Radeon 290X graphics cards
Not bad performance either considering age of cost of parts

Although getting them to play my WOW repack server and not roblux is the most difficult part
